The Age of Adaline
Title Sequence

MOTION GRAPHICS / ILLUSTRATION

The film, The Age of Adaline, tells the tale of a woman untouched by time, constantly adapting, always moving, always hiding. This title sequence focuses on the details: multiple locks hinting at the secrets Adaline keeps, various modes of travel, and multiple ID’s suggesting a trail of vanished identities, all wrapped in a cool, desaturated color palette that keeps you slightly at arm's length. The score is delicate but tense, giving just enough without oversharing—kind of like Adaline herself. This wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was about easing the viewer into the film’s mystery without shouting it. It had to intrigue, not overwhelm. With streaming services releasing period dramas and fantasy epics left and right, there’s still something quietly powerful about a minute-long title that lets the atmosphere unfold subtly.
